Water Governance and Climate

Consultant

I’m a consultant in the Dutch water sector. This sector primarily deals with climate change and plays an important role in today’s major transitions. I’m an expert at bringing people and parties together on the basis of common, shared interests. Collaboration is a complex task, as is the transition to a circular and zero-emission economy, for instance.

I love to unravel complex (wicked) problems. Sometimes the solution is not readily available, in which case I help to find one.
In the water sector, I see a major challenge in closing loops, from the large bulk in infrastructure projects to the extraction of residues from wastewater. I believe that these changes can only be overcome by bringing people together. I’m more than happy to help with that.

Together with colleagues, I conducted a study for the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs (specifically the PIANOo expertise centre) into the principle obstacles to circular procurement in civil engineering and public utilities. And how these obstacles can be removed. For the results, please read this guide (Dutch only).
